Posted 13 June 2022

We're pleased to announce the arrival of our new NORBIT i77h WINGHEAD Multibeam Echosounder

The NORBIT i77h WINGHEAD offers several features and benefits for ultra-high resolution hydrographic surveying applications, offering an along-track resolution of up to 0.5 degrees with a frequency of up to 700kHz.

NORBIT's unique curved WINGHEAD transducer array configuration provides a wide swath coverage of up to 210 degrees, making it ideal for both shallow water operations and surveying large areas quickly and efficiently. The i77h is tightly integrated with the Applanix OceanMaster GNSS/INS solution, providing precise real-time positioning information for accurate results.

The compact nature of the system makes the i77h an excellent choice for use on small vessels and in shallow water depths, while the system's robust and durable design ensures reliable operation in all environments.

Director John Sadler comments:

"Investing in our own permanent survey equipment allows us to react quickly and efficiently to our clients' urgent survey requirements. The i77h will complement our existing capabilities perfectly and meet the demands of our clients for ever-increasing accuracy and detail."
