SEP Hydrographic is Live

After more than 30 years of setting the standard in land survey, Survey & Engineering Projects have launched a new marine survey business; SEP Hydrographic Limited.

The company's senior leadership team bring more than 45 years of hydrographic and geophysical survey experience, working on behalf of globally-recognised organisations.

SEP Hydrographic Survey Manager Paul Dodd comments:

"I am thrilled to be launching the hydrographic survey division of SEP. With a solid reputation in the industry spanning over 30 years, this is a natural progression for the group from land to marine surveying. We are now able to offer our clients integrated services combining both underwater and overwater techniques."

Clients for the group include civil engineering firms, rail network operators, port and harbour operators, construction and engineering service providers, as well as asset management companies. SEP Hydrographic will operate from the group head office in Skelmersdale, near Liverpool.

SEP Hydrographic will focus on high-resolution asset inspection surveys.

SEP Hydrographic will specialise in combining 3D scanning sonar data with traditional multibeam technology, also offering vessel-mounted laser and 360-degree photo acquisition as standard.

A notable acquisition is the survey vessel 'Pulsar'; a road-transportable, pre-mobilised survey vessel equipped with the UK's only 3D mechanical scanning sonar capable of acquiring data on the move

The vessel will allow the company to respond quickly to survey requirements, for example, in the event of asset damage or storm events.

SEP has specialised in land survey for over 30 years.

Drawing upon group services, SEP Hydrographic offers various autonomous survey options, including UAV LiDAR and photogrammetry as well as offering a cloud-based portal for client data interrogation.
