SEP Hydrographic Becomes Commercial Partner Sponsor of 'Solis Ortus'

Posted 4 May 2026

As the 2026 yacht racing season gets underway, SEP Hydrographic is pleased to be showcasing a new local partnership with Water Taxi CI by sponsoring sister company Go-Sail.je's racing yacht - Solis Ortus

The Channel Islands based racing yacht owned by Water Taxi CI's parent company Go-Sail.je competes in racing throughout the Channel Island area & UK.

The Vessel

'Solis Ortus' is a Jeanneau Sun Fast 3600, designed by Daniel Andrieu and built in 2019. The yacht measures 11.66 metres in length with a beam of 3.55 metres and a draft of 2.3 metres. The yacht is used for racing alongside Go-Sail's busy RYA training courses & corporate team building.

The hull is built using vacuum-bagged resin infusion, paired with twin rudders and a lead fin keel. The result is a light, balanced boat that performs across solo, doublehanded and fully crewed regattas, both inshore and offshore.

Solis Ortus competes regularly across the Channel Islands, South Coast and beyond.

Recent and planned entries include:

  • The Solent inshore series
  • 2025 Rolex Fastnet
  • Warsash Spring Series
  • JOG (Junior Offshore Group) events
  • Taittinger Royal Solent Yacht Club Regatta
  • Dartmouth Regatta and Sailing Week
  • The RORC race programme
  • Royal Southern Summer Series

"We're pleased to be supporting 'Solis Ortus' for the 2026/27 season whilst marketing SEP Hydrographic's services within the Channel Islands through our new commercial partnership with Water Taxi CI."
